Body ache is not a disease but a symptom of an underlying disease or serious medical condition. Often excessive physical activity or mild injury can cause the body tissues to get tired. Body aches can also happen because of the change in weather/ climatic conditions.

The body represents their overactivity in terms of a symptom, pain. It is a very common symptom. It may vary in intensity, duration, and frequency. The pain can be generalized -pain all over the body (after intense exercise, fever) or limited to a particular part- knee pain, bruised shoulder. Commonly other symptoms are present along with body ache, including- weakness lethargy a fluctuating core temperature of body/ fever col or flu-like symptoms

Types- acute body aches- the pains last for a shorter duration of time and gradually fade away. The most common cause for an acute body ache includes- trauma, surgery, fever, illness. these are easily manageable. Although, body aches are easily manageable, yet it is advised not to ignore repetitive and intense pains.

chronic body aches- these pains last for a longer duration even after the complete healing of an old injury. These pains are frustrating and annoying, hinders with daily chores of an individual. These pains may last from months to years.
